I haven’t written much lately. I’ve just been so busy, although I haven’t been doing any particularly significant. I’m not even hiking or taking pictures or anything. For lack of anything better to write, here’s how a typical weekday goes for me:
6:50 – alarm goes off; hit snooze
6:57 – alarm goes off again; leave clock radio on so I can listen to top-of-the-hour news on NPR
7:00 – try to arouse myself from slumber as I listen to the news
7:10 – drag myself from my warm bed, dash through my icy cold apartment, and hop into the shower
7:25 – emerge into the icy cold again and put on cold work clothes
7:30 – eat unexciting breakfast: cereal
7:50 – make lunch to eat at work later
8:10 – dry hair, put in contacts, brush teeth, etc.
8:20 – spend a few minutes reading e-mail, uploading photos, or checking Facebook
8:40 – leave for work
9:00 – begin work
5:30 – released from the long work day
5:50 – get home from work
6:00 – leave for gym
7:00 – return from gym, not feeling any fitter than I did since I started working out four months ago
7:05 – starving, tired, and sweaty, I try to fix a healthy dinner
7:30 – eat dinner
8:00 – clean up from dinner
8:15 – try to pay a few bills, do a little laundry, or whatever else needs doing
9:00 – talk to my long-distance sweetie on the phone
9:30 – read one of the MANY library books I have checked out
10:00 – lights out, I’m pooped!
